新法令将要实行。
2.SAA认证和C-Tick认证讲逐步取消，代之以RCM认证，该认证涵盖安规和EMC(C-TIck可能仍然会适用于一些小功率的无线产品)。
3.所有电子产品，将分为三类:High，medium, low Risk。我们目前没有详细的划分范围资料，一般来说，电池驱动和电压在12V以下的产品是低风险，240V标准电压产品为中风险，高电压产品为高风险。低风险产品的缓冲期是6个月，中高风险产品缓冲期为3年(该期限是澳洲相关协会的建议，但是具体法令上**还没有终确认)。
4.RCM认证只能由澳洲当地公司申请，该公司必须向澳洲**申请一个RCM号码。中国生产商和出口商可以用自己的名义申请IEC或者AS/NZS报告，但是该报告必须交由澳洲进口商来申请RCM。申请注册费用为每年每产品每商标75澳币(举例说明，澳洲某个公司拥有两个商标:A和B，他从中国进口了完全相同的一个批次的产品，一半打上A的商标，一个打上B的商标，那意味着必须支付150澳币每年的注册费用)。
5.根据该的意见，由于进口商将承担产品质量不合格的风险(责任方)，而且非澳洲公司无法直接申请RCM认证。则估计，越来越多的稍有规模的澳大利亚公司，会改变目前为了降低费用，由中国生产厂承担费用制作报告和申请SAA的做法。他们将倾向于*有一定能力和声望的实验室，提供保险的报告和测试数据，再由他们来申请澳洲RCM认证。
6.理论上，澳大利亚实验室也可以作为申请方帮助某个公司获得RCM的认证。但是根据该的意见，由于从法律上承担的责任较大，估计大部分澳大利亚实验室主动冒这个风险，即使来做，相关费用也可能会比较高。

一般情况下，IT AV 灯具小家电类常见产品申请澳大利亚SAA认证的周期是3-4周，如果产品质量不达标，可能日期会有所延长。
提交报告到澳州审核时需要提供产品插头的SAA证书(主要是针对带插头的产品),不然不给予办理,产品里面的重要的元器件SAA证，像灯具需要提供灯具里面变压器SAA证书，不然澳州审核资料不通过
